Stable deodoriser

I bed on straw and it's a bit stinky. The boys are on good grass at the moment which always seems to make them pee more!! Which stable deodoriser do you all use , cheap as possible!!

Jeyes Fluid works well, but moving away from straw bedding will work better. Straw plus urine breaks down into ammonia, which is why gardeners like it for their compost heaps! If you have to use straw, maybe a bag of wood pellets in the pee spot?

If you can get from your local farm store, Bio-super. Its a piece that neutralises ammonia - which is the stinky bit.

Failing that ask for ever they sell farmers to apply to sheep pens during lambing.

I used to use cheapo pine household disinfectant from the super market. Sprinkling Bicarbonate of soda seems to help a bit too.
They used so sell some stuff in a big bucket at my local feed store which you just sprinkled a handful over the floor or bed dry. That was really good, i think it was maybe called stable fresh or something.

I use Stalosan, big tub, you sprinkle it on the floor and/or through the bed great for ammonia you can get it from feed/farm supply places I get it from Mole Valley.

I’m with you! Definitely stalosan rather than Jeyes, it’s horrible stuff (jeyes).

Lincoln stable deodoriser. It’s a powder and about £12 for a 4kg tub. I use it and it is very good
