Hi, I have had the vet (two different ones) and neither can find any faults. At 14 years old he had an eye operation and was left with 80% vision in one. He's now approaching 21 and no difference in his eyesight. I have painted his stable white so there is nothing he could find scary looking like some strange blobs ect. He has three windows around his stable so it isn't to do with lighting it's a great stable and he is used to it.

I think I agree with TGM about that he had not yet found an escape route for all these years and now has. I do believe the trigger was him slipping past the girl that day as he had never tried this before and since that day tried it ever since. I cannot leave him out as no one else stays out and he panics so I make sure he has the same routine coming in with his friends.

I am trying a barrier tomorrow , and if that does not work will try the electric fence! Thankyou very much for everyone's help xx
