Stable knee and hock boots

I'm already thinking ahead into winter!

As my boy gets really stiff in the stable im looking into buying boots for him.

I'm looking into the Cashel Hock boots which look ideal as on one of his back hocks he gets really stiff in the cold weather, But he had an accident not too long ago on one of his knees and i know from when he was recovering he was going really stiff if he's in for long periods in the stable does anyone know if there is any knee boots that are like the Cashel hock boots as they dont seem to sell knee boots and i'm wondering if there's another brand that do the knee boots that are as quilted as the Cashel boots.

There is an american brand that do something called 'Whinny warmers' which look just the same as legwarmers but for horses! I'll post a photo and i'm wondering what your view is on which boot or sock will be the most effective for the stiffness in joints.

Hi Claiired, I would also be interested in finding some padded knee boots! My horse bangs his knees against the door and the wall and it's really getting me down as it's costing me a fortune in vets bills. hope you find some!!

Can't help you on the knee boots, but the hock socks are fantastic. My old girl wears them in the winter, if it's going below freezing. She also has the Cashel Leg Wraps, so there's no chance of her getting cold! They definitely help to stop her from stiffening up.

Well I'm definitely going to get the hock boots. Heard so many good reports on them. I know you can get little boots for the front legs, so i might have to try them . Thanks for the recommendation

Also what are these sock warmers as my boy has arthritis in hocks so looking for something to help him stop getting stiff x

They're called Whinny warmers, its an american brand with lots of good reports too! Search whinny warmers on google .
