Anyone recommend a (temporary) stable layout (non planning permission) that can be put down onto concrete. I don't know what's the bet layout to have. I have 2 acre field and one horse and don't know how to separate the field, where to put the stable, whether I should have a field shelter or if it should be joined onto the stables and yard. Please help, any pictures that may help me I will be more than greatful :)

I'd personally split into 2 big ones and one small one. Keep small one as an injury or emergency paddock.
I'd put stables near entrance gate.
I'd probably put a shelter in one of them if none have good natural shelter. I'd then use this one as the bad weather paddock (providing the 'good weather paddock/summer paddock has shade.) :)

We had two portable field shelters built on a concrete pad that already existed, and had doors made for them. They are on skids and have been moved.

I would have two field shelter/stables and a store. Split the field into two, and see how you go.

The thing that I would be most bothered about would be finding some company for your sole horse.

Legally though, just because there is a concrete pad there doesn't mean you can automatically put a temp. building on it.

Honey is right. The existing pad would likely have been for an agric building or domestic one. Neither would count re stables. However the fact the pad was already there MIGHT help if the council got 'funny' (but it might not, it depends how officious they were being).

If you did go ahead on the pad make sure you take an awful lot of photos of it in situ prior to the stables going up. Ideally dig out some photos or property details which show/mention it or the building that used to be on it from a long time ago.

yes thats what we did - took a lot of photos of the concrete before we added the portables - so we can prove that we didn't put the concrete there just to put the stables on..
