DIY post here! Although there is electricity in main yard, unfortunately there is none in the stables/hay shed in the middle of the fields that 2 horses are 'overnighting' in during the winter. Am thinking of rigging up a leisure battery and some lights to run from it. Has anyone else overcome this challenge and any other ideas would be welcome! (Suppose there is always the torch strapped to the head routine but does this scare the horse?

I have no lighting either and I use a largish camping lantern that runs on rechargable batteries...does the job nicely and has a handle so I can carry it around (stable is in a field).
