Asking on behalf of a friend!

She has a new horse that seems to be kicking out at the stable walls only when the horse Seems to be is in season! That’s the only thing the horse seems to do no other change in behaviour and is on A chaste berry supplement.
I suggested maybe wall mats might help protect the wall for getting trashed and protect the horses back legs from any damage.
Any ideas of what sort of mat she would need and how do you attach mats to the wall?
And btw she wants to avoid going down the regumate route as plans to breed from her in the future!!
Any other recommendations welcome ?

I’d go for those cheap smooth ones. Very slippery on the floor, but for the walls they’ll be easy to clean and won’t cause an issue. I’d just drill a hole in intervals and sort of screw them on with a bolt and nut attached to the walls. Could you use electric tape around the wall? I don’t like to use it in stables, but it might work.
good luck!

We moved into a stable that had thick EVA type mating screwed to the wall to stop the previous horse that was in there kicking the wall. Worked really well apparently and it took some effort to pull them down (as another livery wanted them).
