Looking to invest in 6 mats to fit a 12x12ft stable.

Willing to spend £200/£300 as I plan on using them as long as they last! I don‘t mind them being heavy.

Any advice on good brands, ones to avoid?

I have got ArcEquine mats in my new stables. I had their EVA mats in my original stables, but they stretched, bubbled up in the middle & were generally a nuisance. For my new stables, I got ArcEquine, BUT the thicker ones with a hard rubber top. They were a PITA to cut (my suggestion would be to score them, then bend the cut over a length of wood underneath the mat to expand it) but they have been down for about 6 months now & I'm really pleased with them. So they're EVA but with a hard rubber top. 35mm diamond mat. It was £335 per stable, but they are soooooooo much better than pure EVA.

I love these. When I installed mine (when they were new and clean) I had a lie down on them during a tea break. I didn't want to get back up.

The only problem I ever had with them is that pee rolled right off them and out of the stable door. Not popular in barn-style indoor stables with shared walk ways.

Photos... They have come out in a jumbled order! 1st and 5th are the thick ones with hard rubber top. 2nd and 3rd are pure EVA...note big bubble coming up in front left quadrant. 4th is Trev wondering what I am doing! ?

That's the website...but I don't recognise the ones that I have in my newer stables! The interlocking EVAs are the ones that stretch, the pink ones are what I have in my tack room to cheer me up on those dark winter mornings, the supersoft ones on the top right look most like mine, but mine had the word 'diamond' in the title and had a hard rubber top. Why is nothing ever easy...

I also tried the lighter weight Eva interlocking mats - no good. Keep bubbling and shifting and sticking up. Have now gone for the traditional heavyweight rubber ones from horsematsplus.co.uk.

I have EVA matting and really like them. Mainly as they are so light, I can move them myself. Handy as I dont have to persuade MrMM to come with me every time I want to clean them or move yards.
