Putting it here as itld get more notice than in yard area.
What company did you get your stable matts from? Can you tell me any downsides to matts etc? Cheers guys!

Mayomats. they're PVA (rubbery foam) so lighter than rubber to carry, and much better insulation from the cold floor. better frog support too imho. had rubber mats at the last place, and Equimats at the place before... these are vastly superior to each, but at £50 each, they should be!
no drawbacks at all. as long as your drainage is okay, and you use absorbent bedding, there's really no need to lift them.
 
To get the best out of stable matting you need to ensure that the floor in your stable drains reasonabl7y well. If it doesn't then urine will pool under it & smell horrible.

If it does drain well then the matting is great.

I got mine from a company called Stableite, they do have a website.
They've been down a few weeks now and so far I'm really pleased with them. The mats are very thick, not like the normal ones, there's a good 2 inches of rubber there and they are very cushioning.
They are expensive though - for my 12x12 stable it cost over £500 including delivery.
