I'm in the lucky position of buying my own land and need to sort stables before winter. Budget is a bit limited and some of the cheaper options have a pent roof. My stables at home have this and although not such a problem in the stables I find in the haybarn if the wind is in the wrong direction the rain comes in under the eaves and makes the back bales wet. Also this is a block building so Iess issue with water inside walls. Those who have pent do you find this is an issue- trying to work out if I'm worrying about nothing or should fork out the extra for apex.

I have buildings with both here. If a pent roof you need extra height to allow for good air circulation. Direction of prevailing winds and snow build up risks need taking into account. So where you site them will play a part in your decission.
