Hi All

Long-time lurker, first time poster here! I've recently been lucky enough to buy my first horse - a gorgeous 12 year old 15hh grey Connie X. He's pretty much snow white and, you've guessed it, a complete urchin in the stable! I don't know how he does it but this boy can get poo stains anywhere... I've been trying over the last few weeks to find a rug that will keep the worst off him overnight. He doesn't really get that cold so I'm not keen to leave his heavier turnout on. I've tried a Snuggy Spik and Span which kept him warm enough, but the stains just soaked through. Can anyone recommend a waterproof stable rug or a lightweight turnout with a soft-ish lining I could use in the stable?

He is bedded on straw and has a deep bed to try and help (which does make a small amount of difference!)

I appreciate that he's a horse and being clean is not his priority, I'd just like to stop the great big dinner-plate sized green blobs if at all possible!

Thanks :)

I would look at the Amigo turnouts. You can get no fills but the 50g might be a good option. Shires Tempest turnouts might also be a good option. If you want a stable sheet, then the Mark Todd Universal sheet was used by a friend with a piebald and it worked well.
