My yearling is on Box rest at the mo as he impaled himselfon something in the field, and although hes not being too stressy im worried hes getting a little bored as hes now door bashing with his bad leg. He has two feeds a day ad lib hay and i go bathe and treat his leg 2-3 times a day so hes getting plenty of attention hes just bored. Tried swedes at the door and hiding carrotts, he has a salt lick he doesnt bother with.
Anyone reccomend any fab stable toys, which have worked for them.

we slice up carrot and put in his treat ball instead of treats, apples in water for bobbing, lick-its (although not very often)

the best thing ive found for my horse is called a decahedron, its like a ball ut with many diferent sides , i usually fill mine with carots and he spends hours rolling it around and never seems to get bored with it!!

Both ours have part of their dinners in a decahedron. It makes it last much longer and encourages them to forage. You could put a mixture of carrots/swede/parsnips along with nuts or I have found alfalfa pellets to be very good

I used to give my horse a traffic cone, take out the sand bag first and i would paint the inside with molasses and then sprinkle a bit of chaff/hard feed on the molasses.

He used to kick it around and try and lick the inside of it, he loved it and used to throw it around for hours.

Cheap version of what is on the market but worked for my boy.

That sounds like a good idea but its a certainty that he'd end stuck up to his ears, something else to winge about.

I have hung Squeaky dog toys in the stable. They are so much cheaper than horsey toys. And keep my pony entertained for hours.

Also if you pony has a bad leg, i wouldn't want him kicking stuff about.
