Thumbs down to the organisers of Equifest who accepted my friends entries but didn't bother to tell her that there are no stables left. First she knew was when the paperwork came through minus stable details so she phoned them. I think they should have contacted her before accepting her entries. Anyway I digress!

A stable is urgently required for Thursday 18th and Friday 19th August - cash waiting!

Please PM me your contact number if you can help and I will pass it on - or I can give her number to you, whatever your preference is.

Many thanks, hot chocolate, cake AND cookies to anyone who can help!

Well as it is unlikely the stable will be at the showground unless someone is unable to go last minute how far away from the showground? At our yard for example we have people travelling on the day and we are about 30/40 minutes away. We might be able to help if that's an ok distance.

The problem isn't so much the overnight stabling but the fact that the stallion (sorry should have mentioned he's a stallion albeit a very well behaved one) will NOT wee while stood on the lorry so he really needs to have access to a stable during the day for between classes.

He also in an evening class on the Friday.

You haven't clarified what you want very well tbh and people were thinking you wanted overnight stabling and asking how far from the showground you'd be prepared to travel.

Now I think i'm right in saying you actually want to hire / borrow a stable on the showground for the stallion to wee in ? Day and night ? so really unless there is a cancellation on the showground you are stumped ?

Sorry but why blame Betsy? If you knew this was the case should you not have asked at the time of calling to see if they would take a late entry about stable availability? The website warned weeks ago that the stables were going fast.

The stable is required for the day and night of thursday, thursday night, friday and friday night - I don't see what there is to cause confusion. A stable is required for overnight, surely people put their horses in them during the day too!

Why do you assume it was a late entry? My friend entered weeks ago and the show did not contact her to say that they had run out of stables. She didn't know until they sent her paperwork and no stable was booked. My friend then phoned them to be told that no stables were available. They shouldn't have cashed her cheque if there was no stable available so they are at fault.

What a rip off !!!!

I have been trying to organise stabling either on site, or in a local yard for weeks to EQUIFEST

I have just found out that there are competitors that are being allowed to stable their ponies on there own horse boxes :mad::mad::mad::mad:

If paying thru the nose isn't bad enough for temp stables to an overated & over priced show, why dont they at least keep the rules & policied FAIR,

why rip of competitors for stables, then cannot supply enough of them, they allow (on the quiet, if you complain long & hard enough) to secretly let the chosen few, stable there ponies YES PLURAL!!! on there boxes

:mad::confused::mad::confused::mad::confused::mad::confused::mad::confused:

THANK YOU for all the replies and PM's :D.

We have been able to secure 2 stables for both Thursday and Friday night on the showground.

Now all we need to do is get there, and with me driving the lorry, even with sat nav arrival is not guaranteed!!!
