Stable Wall Matting

I'm stabled in an american style barn. Top half of partitions are metal bars and bottom half is wooden.
Id like to get some matting to put on the bottom, wooden half. My old girl used to kick the walls and as a result, they're splintered slightly.

I need some light weight mats that can be attached to the wood that wont break the bank and will withstand kicking if she should do it again.

I'd look at some thinnish (about 12mm) EVA mats. Some of the bigger companies do specific wall matting but you'd probably find the same stuff on E-bay or somewhere like that more cheaply as just thin EVA mats.

As above I'd go EVA - I have 24mm on the floor in my horsebox and it's light and easy to handle. 10-14mm would be plenty for walls and even lighter/easy to fix
