Can anyone recommend a stable water bucket and what size for a 16.2 Irish draught X who’s in overnight.i was thinking 90ltr but worried it’ll be too big 🤔

I use one of the garden barrows with rollerwheel and a 45L trug inside it - link below. My horse doesn't tend to kick it over and it's easy to refill & drag around. I've put insulation pipe over the handle of mine to hopefully make it last longer as it feels a bit flimsy.

Argos barrow £15

I think mine are the 42l trugs. They vary between drinking it all to drinking half overnight and have unlimited access to water when turned out too.

I was thinking of a large trug but told to get a solid, non flexible one. Not sure why 🤯

Not sure? My shire (approx 18hh) would put her foot through a bucket that wasn't flexible enough to move if she accidentally kicks it.

I do have it in a tyre however that has more or less the same inner diameter than the bucket so it fits snug.

Stubbs do a large tub that could be used for stable water, I use mine for there field water they are made of really tough plastic I have some smaller ones that I have had 12 years, so they do really last I think the really big ones are £25.
