I have found the exact style/type and plan of stables I am hoping to have built at the new farm (2 stables, tack room & feed room). Problem is in Norway you can only buy very basic stabling from around 2 companies

So I guess buying from the British company and having all the materials sent over is crazy. Therefore I shall have to look into having them made by carpenters here. I am very excited, what do you guys think for my horse Ollie in sig and Welsh A Rosie? (we shall have to have a miniature door for her like she has on this farm).

They look great. There must be someone in Norway who could build them for you. It would cost a fortune to import them but it is worth looking into it incase it is less than we think.

They look perfect. A dream stable block - and of course you can add to either end should your horse numbers start to creep back up!

I'm sure there's lots of local craftsmen could produce those for you.

very very cute. i'm sure you could get that copied, there's enough pine in Norway, sounds mad to import it from the U.K.
must admit though, if i was in Norway i'd want everything undercover in a big barn so the snow and wind couldn't get in... but, i'm a wuss!

They really match the new house perfectly, the house is based on a traditional Finish wooden house design stained in a dark brown (we will stain the stables the same colour and school fencing). The stables and bark school will be just down from the house. Be fun to see their heads out of the house windows.

I am really looking forward to the down sizing to something smaller and more manageable :-)

I have an insulated American barn now and can honestly say without the heaters on it is colder inside than out (with no wind).

Where we are moving is in between 2 mountains so the weather is never wild like it is here a mile off the coast.

Trouble with me I end up staying out too long in the cold in a false sense of security it is ok I am in a building. I have all the creature comforts of a coffee maker and sofas at current farm in the tack room and end up staying for hours and just get ill going from warm heated tack room into cold barn and vice versa.

The point of the new place is in winter go and do what you have to do then go home into the warm.

Anyway over here we wear telly tubby stylie thermal all in one suits...Ohhh so flattering lol.
