Hi, looking at possibly entering Stafford on 14th march and was wondering what the ground is generally like?
Hes hunted a bit so not too bad on wetter ground but obviously dont want somewhere that's prone to get wet
Thanks

Stafford's spring event has seen it all, weather wise. It is old park land so can be very good going but can also be extremely wet and deep. However they always work exceptionally hard to keep the ground as consistent as they can between classes and days - moving jumps and rolling etc.
I was all loaded up and about to drive out of the gates one year when it was cancelled due to snow!

It can get very deep in places if its been wet, and it is also on the longer side so horse needs to be fit enough to cope with deep ground and a longer course. They do a fab job with the ground where they can though, moving showjumps etc.
