Have done 1 PN so far and came 10th with a double clear.

Was delighted with that and know that Boris can tackle it all easily.

Just wandering whether Stafford was a rider frightner course height and width wise as I get v nervous riding XC and tend to miss my stride making him stand off everything. the write up on BE website advises fit horses. I don't want to expect him to gallop and then have to over jump everything cos I can't get my stride right.

Shall I go back to intro or is Stafford ok......... remember it's the rider frightener things i'm trying to avoid. Technical fences are fine.

Thanks for your help

Stafford is LOVELY! Would have happily done it as a first PN if monkey boy had had a few more confident runs. The first one this year was a gorgeous course, quite straight forward but nice and solidly built. It is hilly, but an easy course to navigate, and the most technical thing was a thatched house on a 3 or 4 stride (i think) curve to a skinny house. There was a solid skinny roll top to a set of 2 very small steps, and other than that was just nice solid single fences. There are pics on a website that is listed in BE mag...were entered for the Intro

Not sure about the PN but I know for a fact that the intro is VERY straightforward. It was like jumping 20 logs!
Pepper didn't find it difficult to stay inside the time, but it is pretty hilly with a very looong pull at the end!

Was without doubt a dressage competition..

Well done again with your 10th!

I know of several people who have been done by the stewards at Stafford for speeding. Watch you don't go too fast there.

Just watch out for fence judges with BBQs...

I had XC lesson tonight (1st ever) and instructor told me to take line in to the pheasant feeder exactly where I had the BBQ stood. I pointed this out to her!

Hmm, on a more serious note, was that the one earlier this year? I know BE will do it, but first time heard of it actually happening.

This was 3 seperate people in 3 different events at the same place. The course seems to be short, for the optimum time. My 3 friends got off by all pointing out that a) no fence judge complained about their riding, and b) they are not allowed to wear a watch at that level, so how can they know they are going too fast?

Just as long as it does not get in the way of what I have planned for next time...

The paddling pool, pitch and putt golf and mahogany dining table and chairs, silver service and flunkies. They won't give me a jump near the car park now as they know I will park the lorry on the course and pitch camp...

Forgot to mention the string quartet...

How large are we talking?

Katty and I discussed having fireworks, but we really need the dark to do them justice. Clay pigeon shooting would work though.

We get regular flypasts at EL anyway from our next door neighbour (Mr Pokemon) anyway.

Out of interest, why is there what looks like the F-22 prototype on your signature? I might be wrong, but worked for several years on the F35.

OH's primary choice of transport........ F3........ the finer details of flight escape me I'm afraid.
We are however at a Hawk base at the mo
