I had my operation on Monday night, so now look like a ten year old on one side and sit leaning a bit to the left as I am still a 36D that side. Hope it won't effect Stinky's muscles.

It is not that bad to look at and a huge relief to have bad boob gone. I came home yesterday and apart from having a bad gut reaction to the meds which are now changed, am a bit sore but pottering around and doing not much for the moment.

I still have a drain in, which is a bit of a nuisance and one of my horrid old cats is very interested in it - keeps licking her lips and sniffing it, and my other one won't leave my side she is so happy to have me back. The drain does catch if I am not careful and Andy has to empty it for me, but that comes out on Saturday. Andy said he will take me to see the horses afterwards but I must not do anything which I have promised.

It is going to be 8 weeks until I can ride the bike as the physio realised it is not a little scooter but she said I may be able to get on Chancer in four weeks time to do a gentle walk and hopefully in six weeks time to do my two classes I want to do at Easter. So am going to do a lot of reading and gaming to avoid going stir crazy. I should be back at work on the 22nd all being well.

Turned out it was a grade 3 cancer which is not the best but not the worst and I will be getting the lymph node results on the 19th and we then go onto stage 2 of the project.

Still keeping my chin up - and am feeling good that the first part of the plan is done and now want to get on to stage 2 and get to the final stage as soon as possible and on with life.

Will let you know how things go but so far I am happy and not bothered about being without a boob - would have been far worse to have lost a limb.

Thanks again for all your posts of support and advice - they really are so much appreicated and have been a huge help to both Andy and myself.

What a great positive post, I'm glad you're feeling so upbeat and that Stage 1 of Project Theresa has gone according to plan. Good luck for Stage II on the 19th, I will be thinking of you.

You are an inspiration to anyone out there who is going through this and for those of us who are worrying about the small things in life, this puts it all into perspective.

No need for me to say keep strong as I think you have enough strength for all of us on here but don't forget (and I hope I speak for all of us) that we are here for you if ever you need lifting up, even if it is for just a little while xx

My goodness, you're brave. I admire your fighting spirit. Well done. Lots and lots of get well vibes winging their way over to you. xx

Theresa you are an inspiration to us, a big hug for you and loads of healing vibes for you and good luck over the next weeks of your recouperation you are so brave.

Glad you are home Theresa, you'll feel even better once the drain is removed. I am all for positive mental attitude, it helped me recover from the series of ops I had, its the only way to be I feel. I just want to know the facts so that I am best able to cope and move on. I wish you and Andy all the best for your continued onwards and upwards recovery. You are a brave and honest lady and I hope that you enjoy seeing your stinky monster at the weekend. Good to have you back.

Glad to hear you are home and that Stage 1 of Project Theresa has gone so well. The strongest, most positive and determined people have the odd wibble so don't be afraid to come on here for lots of support if and when you need it.

I am so pleased that things are going well for you. Please never forget that you can message any of us if you want to chat. It is important to get plenty of rest and not do too much too quickly. X

So very pleased to hear that Phase 1 has gone well. Hope Phase 2 goes just as well

But however well you feel please be guided by your Doctors and other health professionals and do not over do it. Last thing you want or need is a setback through doing too much too soon

Look forward to hearing about your trip to see the horses at the weekend
