I am taking my BHS stage 1 tommorow and was just wondering if anyone has any tips other than the normal ones :P
I am confident i know the stuff just nervous about the situation i suppose, as i don't know what to expect.

I am having a lesson there today to get used to the place, other than that i have never been to the place so suppose i am nervous about that too.

Anything i need to look out for?

Thanks

Take your time and double check everything! Stage 1 is fairly simple as long as you think "safety" the whole way through. They're not too concerned if it takes you a while so use the time you have (for the care section at least). For the riding, just do as you would usually and keep relaxed

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine!!

I did my exams so long ago that I can't really think of any particularly relevant pointers, but just remember that everyone else will be feeling the same as you. I found it really helpful to have a chat to the other candidates when we all arrived - if you find a 'buddy' the whole situation seems less daunting! I was also told by the examiners that they don't want to fail people - they want you to pass so will do their best to put you at ease.

Best of luck. Just relax and I'm sure you'll do brilliantly.

i done stage 1 quite a few years ago, passed the care but failed the riding, i was too relaxed ie reins too long, but not once was i out of control, that was the only reason they gave me for failing.

but good luck im sure you'll be fine.
