Hi All

So gave the hairy coloured boy a bath at the weekend and despite using 4 different horse potions for whitening/stains he still has yellow knees/hocks and feathers. On his 'normal coat' stains come out no problem, but this is on the longer feathery type hair and it actually looks permanently stained yellow.

Am thinking this is not going to go down well in the show ring!

So any tricks anyone? Preferably of the cheap variety as sick of buying potions!:D

Thanks :)

Try the blue BIOTEX ... works wonders on yellow stains.

Warning though RINSE THOROUGHLY! because if left it can cause irritation.

Thanks for replies, think I will give the biotex a miss as he is quite sensitive so bound to be allergic! Dumb question but with the chalk is it best to apply dry to dry legs or to wet legs or chalk first??
Alternatively am going to book him in for a spray paint in brown!;)

Hi, I used to rub the chalk in after towel drying, still damp, and then bandage them up over night, then put loads of chalk on just before going in the ring.
If you ever go to a show with Shire horses there, if you watch them get ready they stand them on a plastic sheet and smother their legs in loose chalk powder!
