Stalactites and Stalagmites

Found this on my house, anyone else have a large Stalactites and Stalagmites ?? bigger or the same??

Wow these are pretty impressive!! Nothing like that here it all thawing and so lots of rain and water everywhere - just hope it doesn't freeze tonight or it will be black ice everywhere and another day i cant ride!!

These are stalactites (they hold on tight growing down! and stalagmites grow mighty upwards)

I thought stalactites were made of stone? That looks like a whopper icicle to me....

Poor K has half the roof snow down his door way from the inside looking out

and the sensor light is covered.

Blimey, those are pretty impressive. Stalagmites grow up from the ground (the word has a G in it which makes it easy to remember G for ground Stalactites grow down from above like the ceiling.(the word has a C in it for ceiling). Useless info probably but something that has always stuck in my weird mind.
