does anyone know much about kings master/or imp .
photos or stud fees appreciated too

has anyone ever used AI from a irish stallion (standing in ireland with the mare in uk) and how did it go??
did you have to use frozen and how sucessful or difficult was it??

I've seen some smashing youngsock by king's master. there seemed to be quite a few contesting the future event horse league (our version of byeh). they generally are nice models. with regard to the ai the success really comes down to how good the vet at your end is. you have to be absolutely spot on with the timing of insemination and the semen must be handled very carefully!

I have used frozen semen with Hannah, and she took first time in her first season was actually took twice because she was scanned with twins at 14 days!

I broke in a horse who was by kings master a few years ago. He was lovely, fantastic temperament, easy, willing etc and good looking just a bit small, only 15.2 ish.

Saw him recently at a competition, owner still really pleased with him and had just won her class so all good! He has had a few soundness issues though, these have been put down to over work as he was backed at three then the owner was advised to turn him away and leave him be for a year, she kept working him and this is apparently the cause.

Your vet is the best person to advise you. For AI you need to get the cycle just right & they have to be scanned for that. Mo went in from Monday & was inseminated on the Saturday. I drove to Warks & collected it as fresh has a higher success rate. You would be advised to find out the stallions success rate with chilled as some are not as good as others. I dont think I will never bother to send a mare away again, I would now always use AI.
