Your going to laugh at me... But I'm having so many problems with my little shetland
I took him on as a colt, and had him gelded. My vet said give it two weeks to a month before I put him in with my mare. I gave it just over a month and then put him in with Starla. All seemed fine and there were no problems. Ive recently moved yards and its like he has completely transformed...
He mounted Starla yesterday (and reached) and now wont leave her alone. She has come hurtleing into season which isnt helping. He's also being very agressive towards the other gelding there, throwing himself at the fence and trying to get through it to attack him...
What should I do? I really dont know what to do to stop this situation before he gets any worse. I know he's only tiny and this probably seems stupid but I'm worried without the right handleing etc he is going to become a very nasty little pony.
Also, should he be mounting mares etc after being gelded? I dont think i'll cope if Starla has another foal
EDA - Sorry, Spelling...
