Hi
Just wondered if any of you had any horses by the stallion Corland and if so do you have any piccies and info on there temperament performance history etc?
I have recently purchased a Corland youngster he's great and turning out just to be like another horse I had by Corland was wondering if it was just coinsidance or if they all have lovely temps , my other horse went lame at the age of 7 so i'm hopeing that the new one doesn't end up with any similar problems.

Snowland (corland x ladalco x ramiro) was one of Roelof Brils top horses who jumped GPs and has now been sold to a young rider based with Roelof. When i was there last April he did have a problem with his feet, cant remember what it was now but Roelof did say that it was common for Corlands and often they go lame. His temperament is great and his jump is awesome but he is a bugger to hack out as he likes to kick the cars!!!

Who is Roelof Brils? I have googled him but couldn't see anything? (is it shameful that i don't know who he is?)
Oh no the problem with my old horse was in his feet also ! i hope my new one doesn't have this issue
My old one was stubborn but also he was huge 17.3 and i'm only 5'3 so he took the mick as my legs just used to tickle him.New one is only 15.1 at the mo so much easier to ride and has the best temp ever.
Thanks for the info

Roelof bril is dutch rider/ breeder/ dealer/ trainer. jumped nation cups for holland and still competes to a high level. he rode stallions such as ahorn, burggraaf, phin phin, tangelo van de zuuthoeve, karandasj, ultimo and currently vigaro. he won the 5 year old title at lanaken on calavados z before selling him mr melchior of zangersheide. he also sold horses such as portofino and kalusha to the uk and sells lots each year with many going to america. on the training front he used to have cian o'connor at his yard and cian still bases himself there in the summer and he also had dermott lennon who won the world championships in jerez 2002. so a jack of all trades really and not too shabby at any of them!

I have a corland mare. She's very quirky but my god she can jump! She's absolutely lovely to handle and just loves her cuddles, but tack goes on and she's on a mission!!! She's virtually unbeatable in the showjumping ring as she's so nippy and my trainer says she'd jump grand prix's. She has pretty good feet but can occasionally get a bit foot sore on the hard. She's currently in foal to Samaii so hoping for a beautiful baby!

Good luck with yours :)
