Hello,

As some of you may know i bought myself a nice MW 15.2hh mare, she's had 2 foals, is currently unbroken and is a homozygous coloured. I have sat on her and ridden her round the yard, but am unsure if I want to break her this year or get a foal out of her myself to keep then break her next year. She's nicely put together, moves well and is WH stamp. So, any suggestions as to what I could put her to. I want to make my perfect horse- 16hh coloured, big moving, big jump to do WH, BSJA, basically an all round type that will show CHAPS and BSPA, not be too buzzy, hunt on the odd day and be an allround superstar. Because she's homozygous I can pick any colour, so thats a plus point, but want importantly a stallion that stamps his stock with an outstanding temp, and natural movement. This is all theoretical at the moment, I may still ride her away properly myself and show her next season, but want to keep my options open, and at least have an idea of a nice stallion that I could use, esp. if she turns out to be not so great under saddle herself! (although she hasn't been bothered by anything so far so this is doubtful)

towerhamlets - try putting this in the breeding section, you'll probably get more replies.
Also, you have said what job you would like the foal to be able to do, but is it to keep or sell? And what level of rider are you? And what is the mare's conformation like - do you have any photos?

I can highly recommend 'Glenhill Gold'. Just bred my first foal from him this year and Harry has a wonderful temperament and excellent confirmation. He is an ISH Coloured advanced eventer and is reasonably priced I believe. Goggle Glenhill Gold and you'll get a great video of him which will show you his classic shape over a fence and nice movement. Will try to add a pic of my foal for you. Really, really pleased with him. Good luck- it's great fun and well worth the effort!
