We have been invited to take Weston Justice to a stallion parade at Belton Horse Trials on the 13th April. Well done to Stuart Buntines team coming up with this idea, hopefully there will be a good selection for mare owners to see in the flesh. If you are there come and say hi!

ooooooo excellent

We have been invited to the one at West Wilts in March, I am really looking forward to it

Not yet, I will put in email to them a request for other names and let you all know. If well supported they should repeat another year. British Breeding is still out there alive and kicking. (Well not literally!)

I think that the original idea was Georgie Brett's and BB will be helping her with it.

And it is probable that the Lead Body will be organising a couple with British Breeding in the format used or the lats couple of years in the combined BWBS?BHHS/TBA one. Dates and venues are to be confirmed but are likely to be:

Friday 15 February (evening) at Hartpury, specifically for Dressage horse and Pony Stallions

Monday 24 March (Easter Monday) daytime at Moulton College, Northants, specifically for Eventing and Showjumping Horse and Pony Stallions

All stallions taking part have to be currently approved for breeding with a UK studbook PIO.

PM me to be kept informed of details as they develop.

Ciss, is the one on 15th Feb likely to replace the BHHS/BWBS/TBF one?

Yes, but it will still be run by most of the same people. The one at Moulton is realy an extension of that one to cover eventing and sj which it has never done before.

Great news !! Got them booked into my diary

Belton Horse trials is just up the road from me too - so I will be going .

Would loved to have attended the Hartpury on the 15th Feb - but think we will be away at the Zangersheide Open Day.......

but looking forward to the eventing & sj stallions on the 24th March

All these Stallion Parades that we cannot take our boy to.......its great that some of the UK Studbooks get together to do this for breeders, but when you have an alien training in England, the world is not your oyster......

Ahh Amelia you could meet Ken as he is going to Zangersheide as well. We had wondered about it and had gone as far as looking at flights, but something has cropped up, unless we can cancel, which is doutful.

You will have to give me a report.

Yes the original idea was in fact Georgie Brett's - her family formerly owned Lowesby Horse Trials for 11 years.

There will be a fabulous selection of stallions both older and younger who have either made a phenomenal impact on British Eventing breeding or are younger Event stallions that already have been earmarked certain communities of which Future Illusion and Classic Primitive are just two.

This is the very first time that Belton have ever had a stallion parade and unlike Burghley or Badminton where admission costs are not the cheapest, this time the very best of British Breeding Stallions will be on parade without having to pay high admission costs to see them.

This is right in the middle of the covering season so hats off to the owners/studs such as Louella, Katy Holder-Vale., Tina Canton, Future Sports Horses & Gemini who are putting the interests of the Sport first and making their stallions available in the public domain for everyone to see them in the flesh.

Enjoy!.
