I am looking for ideas on which stallion to use for my mare this year, she is an Oldenburg, Royal Dance (Rohdiament x Donnerhall) x Vatout, 16.1hh not a heavy build, good hind leg although her movement could be bigger, she is slightly long in the back, good temperament although can be sharp.
Am looking to produce something slightly bigger and heavier for dressage, the stallion needs to have a quiet temperament with big movement. Would be happy to use a UK stallion but I have been looking abroad.

I have attached some photos, the ridden are her as a four year old so she is a little gangly!!

Millenium??? I love this stallion...he is a saint and a total doll to handle (you can leave his stable door wide open and he won't come out!!) and he has even watched through and ajoining window when one of the mare's had his baby a couple years ago. He is a big boy and has the bone you want plus phenomenal movement. Even though he is an old boy, he never did any stud work till he retired and so his eldest are only 2 yr olds but they are all very very nice and he has improved all of the mares!

Plus, his movement is MASSIVE! He is 20 now and is almost as agile as ever...yes of course he is stiffer, however he could go out and win still! His extensions and especially his piaffe are a joy to behold!!! Well worth a look - I believe Hobgoblins Open Day is this coming weekend over at Hadlow (I think).

This is Millenium at Hobgoblins Open Day last year looking as agile as ever: http://cimagesphotography.co.uk/#/080330hobgoblinsmillenium/4528088453

And his stud card:

I'd have to say T Movistar!! My mare is in foal to him due any day now! I should think his conformation would suit your mare as he is short coupled, and has a good shoulder on him. My only reservation is that you say your mare can be sharp and Movistar although he himself has a lovely trainable attitude is by jazz who's line can be hot heads! My mare is very laid back and therefore I can take a little hotness come through if it does!

You don't state what you are looking to breed? event, dressage, sj, coloured?

Some breeders I know are considering this chap as his stock seem to have very good movement and are very sensible:
MFS Vision

Have not seen him myself, so cant comment, just going on from what I have been told.

I was after something very similar to you. My mare is 15.2 so I wanted a bit more height and I like them more on the chunky side. I also wanted something with a strong back end and short coupled. Im going to go with Benetton Dream as hes just my sort of horse. I spoke to Flaxlion stud and they were really nice and very helpful.

Pretty mare!!

I'd be looking at Landtanzer if you want more substance, and more movement, AND good temperament. He ticks all the boxes! I'm using him this year ona rather sharp ISH filly - just couldn't find anythink I liked better (and having HAD a mare here last year for AI to him, his semen is fantastic! And the stud is great to deal with!)
