Busy day booked tomorrow...
Going to see Brief Encounter and Free Spirit at Grafham Stud, and then down the road to Sallyf's to see High Tension

.
On the way home we're going to Brendon Hill to see their stallions, but I'm lost as to which ones to pay special attention to...
I know I like :- Hot Rumour, Ben's Affaere and Future Role, and am undecided about Tinsley Faerie Legend.
It's Without Doubt will be stretching the purse strings too far

What are your thought's on this lot? http://www.brendonhill-stallions.co.uk/stallions.htm
Sorry if I'm getting boring, but it'll hopefully be all over soon

Shame you can't stretch to It's Without Doubt as I had a horse by him and he was fantastic

If you can - stretch the pennies !!!

But I'd go with one of the Brendon stallions over any of the others you are considering

what are u trying to breed?? tinsley faerie legend i personally think is a little over priced as hes not done much himsself, but thats only an opinion all there other horses are apparently lovely and hav sired fab offspring. Jumbo horses are nice and the lady who runs grafam stud is lovely not been there personally but sounds like a trek to get to the yard, soo gd luck

I have an IWD mare, and if EVER i was given the chance to have another I would bend over backwards to get it! Fabulous horse and mine is definately my horse of a lifetime, have been so lucky with her. 15.1 chestnut mare, looks so like her Dad and competed at 2* level, graded Intermediate.

Grafham Stud....so far I am not impressed with them, I called and left 2 messages enquring about Jumbo and didnt even get a call back, even if Jumbo was fully booked they didnt make the most of the opportunity to try and get me to see his sons!

Thanks guys!
Graffex - I know what you mean! He did a little BE but doesn't seem to have done anything for the last several years?? Strange that they're suddenly celebrating having him stood with them when he's not actually that great?

Sounds like IWD is worth the money....

We'll see what tomorrow brings I suppose!! X

Good luck with tomorrow and let us know how you get on, my IWD mare had her first foal last yr at 15 and is due to go to Mill Law this year - there are so many nice stallions to pick from however she is related to a lot of them because of her Dad!

If you're interested in Jumbo sons I recommend Med Night Mahout. Stands at Cliveden Stud in Berkshire. Lovely horse, nearly Advanced eventer, super temperament, v nice stock. PM me for contact details.

(He's not mine or anything, I just know him cos he stands alongside my stallion at Cliveden.)
