We went for it. Took Buster the one-balled dartmoor and his two friends to our local charity show. Strictly to embarass ourselves by having a go at the clear round. We're far too hairy and messy to do showing classes. The kids wore whatever 'looked most like proper riding gear', and we got most of the winter coat out of the ponies before we set off.

Despite Buster announcing his arrival to the showground like a fog-horn a couple of times, as soon as we were up with the other ponies he was a darling - despite numpty daughter letting him sniff pony noses.

#1 daughter practically threw said green stallion over the clear round. He hadn't a clue at first, but by the 3rd time around he was flying around like a games pony! Clearly a fast learner :o)

All 3 ponies entered all the silly races. We chopped and changed riders so that everyone got a turn, and for some reason our hairy little blighters kept winning! This despite Bruin the shetland standing on the egg during the egg and spoon, and putting in what looked very much like a canter in the walk and trot :o\

End result: First, Second and Third in the gymkhana. Hoorah!

***still reeling from the shock***
