Stallions Direct...?

What's happened to StallionsDirect.com - anyone have any idea? It seems to have disappeared. Bit concerned as I was about to post an ad on there - is anyone on here dealing with them?

They do seem to have died. Who was the owner? Was it Hugh MacMahon?

I think so - it seems to be registered to a Karen Malcomson in Scotland now... All a bit strange

Stallions Direct was previously owned by Tullis at Twemlows. My friend Karen now owns it but due to other work commitments it is down at the moment.

What was the point of the site? Was it semen sales or what?

For a fixed fee per year you could advertise your stallions with them. It gave a full page and as much info on your stallion as you wanted, plus direct links to your own website. The new stallions would then be added to the front page and any information on them would be put on the news pages.

There is also advertising opportunities for businesses to have direct links to their websites.

Also included were any breeding articles of interest and sales pages for horses etc.

Had a lot of hits per month and was very popular. Tullis did not have the time to keep it up to date, so my friend took it over.

I do hope your friend gets it back up and running as I used to look at it a lot and found it a very interesting source of info on british stallions
