Stallions Picked for 09

DD, we saw Sandro Beast at the Z Stallion Open Days in 2007, when he was just "A Beast", and were so impressed by him that we kept track of where he went. I'd be very interested to see his first offspring! The one thing that I'd say about him is that you probably wouldn't want to put him to a hot mare, as he was quite sharp!!

I am hoping to pursuade my OH to let me put Amber (Woodborough x Ceebeat (Bairn)) to Mcjonnas, but then I've been trying for the past 2 years!
Amber lost her foal 2 years ago to joint ill so OH is rather apprehensive about going through it all again.

We will use our own stallions on two of the three this year. Undecided yet on third - depends whether a boy or girl pops out in the next few weeks.

Re Clintissimo - semen quality I'm told is good, last year in his first season it was restricted as quantity was poor...mares had to go to him. They now have a good stock of frozen and him being a year older seem not to be restricting mares either! Hope this helps. LOL - yeah could be a bit close using an Obolensky son on your mare but if its an amazing back and and height..I would check out Contact vd Heffinck for sure.

We're putting our grade A showjumping mare (King of Diamonds) grandaughter to Chaos. We have a stunning yearling by him out of her already so hoping for a repeat performance!! Her daughter (who is by a Zangersheide stallion - Don Carlos/Quick Star lines) will be going to Balou du Rouet.
