is there such A thing? My horse insurance won’t add this to my existing policy until it renews in September but I jus5 got a new saddle that I want insured. Recommendations welcome. Thanks.

It would be worth checking your household insurance although you may be required to keep the saddle at home.

It would also be worth checking the tack insurance requirements of your horse insurance as they often exclude yards with more than a certain number of horses - 10? - and you have to have certain types of lock/door.

I was never able to add mine to house insurance ( different insurance companies) unless I kept it at home but probably the cheapest option if you do.

Not just tack but I noticed that SEIB bave started offering a basic option which includes £1000 of tack on top of public liability and accidents for £10 a month. Might be worth a look.

I have barclays sports insurance, now taken over by Aviva. Just had a renewal come through for about £42 per year, it is based on two saddles being kept in a locked building. Included £1.5K of cover if temporarily in locked car / lorry (if out of sight). I have new saddle so need to update it.
