Stanhopes...

Anyone got anything by Stanhopes Odwig?? or any of the Stanhopes horses?
Mine is by Odwig out of a Diddicoy mare. Just wondered if anyone else has something by any of the stanhopes lot as would be interesting to see their temperaments etc

My friend has a gelding by Stanhopes Diddicoy and he's a bit of a fruit loop

Obviously you can't say for sure that it's down to the stallion / mare....... his owner is permanently hyper and I think it transfers to the horse

Got nothing by him but have you contacted Gill who owns Odwig now? I am sure she would love to hear about yours if you haven't already spoken to her!

I have a mare by Stanhopes Dueka who is by Diddicoy. She is fabulous. A total saint and superb broodmare

I have seen a diddicoy mare that had very boxy odd feet temp was fab couldnt fault her otherwise.

Gill is at Burnock Stud.

I sat on Odwig with a view to having him on loan and he was a gent. I believe she is thinking about selling him at the moment.

a few people I know have said the only horses they ever knew by Diddicoy were a bit nutty.

My boy looks very much like his sire, Odwig. He is a gent the majority of the time, but has a flip switch also which makes him very highly strung and sharp. He does get stressed easily and when he decides to have one of his bad days he will have you on toast!
