Stanley 2 year old BT

Stanley is nearly two and he's turned out to be a really super little dog. He was the easiest pup to house train, we had one accident and hs proved to be pretty trainable all round. Despite being a terrier, his recall is pretty reliable, he walks nicely on the lead with no pulling, he knows not to jump up but people do encourage him which is very annoying (despite being told not to!) and he is fairly tolerant of being stripped. He's not fussy with his food but is not motivated by it either. He's friendly with other dogs, except one black lab bitch whom he hates (I have no idea why) and is all in all a super pet and companion. He does have a slight stubborn streak and will refuse to walk if he thinks he hasn't been out long enough, which I find funny. He's a lot of fun to have around without being naughty or needy. He is adored by both me and OH and tolerated by MIL who would have preferred a golden retriever!

Love boarder terriers they have such cute faces stanley is a great name it really suits him they are one dog I really would consider getting, I have a JRT at the moment she was very easy to house train and has been fairly easy all round really and is a loving little dog I can't imagine being without her

Thanks, It's not the best photo of him really, his tail is somewhat out of proportion in the photo and he has lovely facial markings, which you can't see, temperament wise, which is the most important aspect, he's hard to fault.

Had to laugh at the MIL remark though as that would be me!
My daughter and family have a miniature dachshund, I thought it was stupid idea on a farm, they are considered untrainable and they are ridiculously low to the ground for a country life.......HOWEVER I have to admit at 2yrs old she is a dear little dog, she doesn’t now hunt all the time. I still don’t want one of my own but I am fond of her!

What a perfect name for such a lovely boy. BTs are amazing dogs, I could write a novel about ours. Our home wouldn't be complete without one.
