Sunday at Solihull provided Mr Luckett reckons we can handle a 1.20 jump off. I have another training session with him tomorrow so hopefully we can work on it.

I always work on the principle that if your horse is going well enough to make the jump off, it shouldn't have any problems in the jump off......well, that's the theory anyway lol!

What height are you schooling him over at home ?

Anything up to 1.30. Issue is not really a height one, more a question of correct impulsion which is what I've been working on since last tuesday. Seems a very different horse now. Tomorrow will tell whether I got it right

Horse has jumped 1.35 competitively with some success so I know he can do it.
It would seem all the flat work I have put in to change him form a pure SJ to an eventer able to do a reasonable dressage test has mucked up his approach to fences. Too steady.
