Hi
Just read the rule book but wanting to clarify that ive read it right.
Am I able to enter the start box to start the course at a trot, through the small gap at the side?
My pony isn't the quickest and may take us a bit from a standing start!
Thank you

Technically you can trot but not canter (canter is considered dangerous riding), although I suspect you're safer to walk in and teach your horse to make a walk to canter transition when the starter says go. Ideally, work out when in the starter's count down you need to enter the start box to keep moving to avoid a standing start.

Yeah I think you're allowed to trot but not canter through the gaps. I would also work on walk to go transitions, it'll probably help you a lot with getting going again quickly as soon as you land from fences too - that saved me loads of time once my horse got a lot a lot sharper with these.
