You are all so supportive on here could you all practice your magic as Tomorrow Afternoon I commence 5 minutes trot work last tried 6 weeks ago. If the horse isnt sound this time I will be devestated and that is not an exaggeration.

Good luck! Fingers very much crossed for you that horse stays sound, we were due to start walking a couple of months ago - but her leg immediately started to swell. We're about to give it another go but this time she's to be ridden. Horse has been on box rest for four months now and I have only ridden her once - five months ago.

Good luck - fingers Xed

Well Girls and Boys unfortunatly there was not enough positive thinking for us. My Horse is still lame and at the moment I feel like I have quite enough.
Unfortunatly its Mothers Day Tomorrow so I cant slope off somewhere until I can talk to the Vet on Monday I have to go and pretend it doesnt matter.

OH NO! I'm so so sorry to hear that

I can't find the right words to commiserate or console

Is there any chance that the problem is mental rather than physical ie horse THINKS it's going to hurt and is lame in order to protect from feared pain? Or that it's now a physio problem caused by muscle wastage / unuse?

I'm clutching at straws for you here, fingers crossed the vet has some bright ideas and reassurance for you. (((((artyannie and nag)))))

Well I'm pretty mental now. As we were starting trot work I had his back checked on wednesday it could be phsycological so I will trot again tomorrow to see. I have really had enough now of hoping just sick of it all. My Mum just phoned me to see if I was coming over tomorrow and I cant stand the thought of being sociable either I would prefer to wallow quietly in my misery and then talk to the Vet about what to do next. I just want to be able to turn him out so he can have a roll and do all the thngs he should do!
