I’m up Donegal area. Not sure what you mean by well catered for sorry ?
I meant some areas seem to have plenty of livery yards and opening yet another might make it harder for you to find clients.

I'd love a decent one near me to help me get back to riding when both my hips have been done. We have a few and I wouldn't trust one of them with my budgie let alone my precious horse. Consequently he is a two hour drive away on the other side of Ireland. You have to build a faultless reputation too, and that takes time and damn hard work with demanding liveries.

Horrifies me that there are still places with no winter turnout I would personally shoot my ponies if they had to be in more than 12 hours overnight preferably less than 12. I cannot understand why the owners are not prosecutd for cruelty too as they are not obseving the welfare rights of the horses. Guess it is because it is convenience to people and sod the animals rights
I do agree but I think the problem people have up here is that the fields are very soft so the horses pretty much sink and some liveries around me are very small so don’t have the land to separate summer and winter fields
That’s why I’m hoping to make all weather turnouts or preferably attaching individual pens to the back of their stables so they can go out and walk around instead of standing in the stable

Oh yes sorry I get what you mean. There’s one other a ten minute drive away but then the only other ones are 20 minutes away in two opposite directions and they’re all full.
I’d try my best but ultimately I understand I can’t please everyone cuz everyone likes to manage their horses differently

I was thinking of building something like this? For when the weather is too bad but maybe woodchipped and longer so they can have trotting room? How large do you think they would need to be for good turnout pen
Blue being stables except for special labelled ones. And clear boxes with green outline are individual all weather turnout pens for leg stretching
Stables be 12x10 so turnout pen would be around 15/16 in length

For the love of God be careful who you let in! I've had an assortment of undesirables, including a genuine gangster. Ironically, the gangster was one of the most pleasant to have around...
