I lost my boy this year, I had him just short of ten years. He was 8 when I bought him.
Last week I took the plunge and bought a yearling filly, I have been swithering on whether or not it is a good idea since she was 9 months old so we have become familiar with each other.
Just looking for advice on lifting feet, training etc. She is leading really well and is coming on great but she doesnt like lifting her back feet and pulls them until I end up letting go, also when Im grooming her she loves her bum getting brushed and if I stop she often barges her backside straight in to me. What is the best approach at correcting these?
I am keeping her at a stud farm close by and the owner is brilliant with advice but she is also very busy so I dont want to badger her with questions, so all advice will be welcome!
