Hello,
I've ridden since a child and used to confidently jump
However about 10 years ago, I had a series of falls at jumping competitions and seriously knocked my confidence jumping. I have jumped since but I find the experience so frightening, as its been at 75cm and did not feel ready to jump. I am currently between loan horses but I did not jump my last loan.
My friend had a break from riding for about 8 years and started again around 18months ago and she is also looking for a loan.
We are wanting to spend the summer rebuilding our confidence jumping before next October when we will be trying out for our university team
Is there anyone who knows of any yards, instructors, riding schools that would be able to help us rebuild our confidence and jumping a course of .75m over the summer? We do not have loans atm or our own horses
We are based in West Yorkshire
Thanks

This isn't a very helpful reply, I'm sorry... Don't know Yorkshire. However, I would have thought that anywhere that does jumping lessons would be able to help you with confidence-building. Whether you can get to that height of jump will depend on horses and your own progression... But the confidence part seems the main/first thing to work through and I can't see it being too difficult to find somewhere. Just phone some local places up and explain - hopefully one of them will sound friendly and sympathetic. You could always start "from scratch" with jumping and see how you go. Less pressure that way.
