Hi I started my 3 year old this year in a rubber snaffle loose ring with a lozenge and he seemed to go fine, though he does hold his mouth open a little but nothing major.
I have seen many people saying they start their horses in the myler comfort snaffle and so i was wondering if any of you did, apparently it give them more room in the mouth.
I was thinking of maybe renting it for a few weeks to try with both my youngster and my mare who has a very fat tongue and hates large bits in the mouth (had to get as thin snaffle as we could find) and she still mouths it loads and comes above the bit.

I used one on my youngster, but tbh, I have found him better in a happy mouth snaffle, full cheek with the lozenge.....

What size mouth is he?
