State of your school?

Our school is wet with a puddle but by no means unrideable

Well ok maybe two tiny inch deep puddles in absolutely heaving rain!

Ours is very wet but perfectly rideable. Just water sitting on top really but the surface is not deep if that makes sense.

I wouldn't mind if ours was just surface wet, but it's at least 4-6 inches deep, and really heavy going. YO is insisting that every other yard is having the same problem...

I am trying to remain calm and patient about the state of our school but the fact that 2/3s is underwater and the remaining 15m circle is about as close to being soup without actually being soup that it can be its hard.

We do have an indoor area but its dinky and the surface is poor - ideal for turnout not ideal for riding.

At the DIY yard school is like a lake

Where Jig is on working livery we have an indoor school so always perfect lol!

Even the outdoor one is good considering all the rain we've had!

This brings back memories of leading horses in beginners lessons when I was younger in the (quick)sand school.

Could have done with waders, the number of times I kept walking and my boots got left behind.

One of ours is flooded and unuseable, but in fairness, its always been described as a summer surface anyway and its the outdoor jumping school.

Im told the two other outdoors are fine, lessons are still taking place on them anyway but tbh, ive not seen either outdoor since before christmas since i usually just claim one of the indoors and dash straight in

Last time i saw our turnout paddocks was november and they were terrible, people were sinking to just over their knees in mud. However i made the decision to not even look at those again til March and turn out in one of the schools; im guessing they're worse still now ;p

Mine was a lake last night....mind you, so was my garden and all the roads around here so it was rather wet. It usually copes very well in the wet. No way was I going to ride last night anyway!
Today it has all gone so the drainage seems to be working.

Ours is apparently riding better than it has all year - its horribly deep in the summer - shame my mare is off with a ligament injury for at least another 3 months.....!

Mind you can't say I a missing riding in this weather!
