Looking for a feed to support muscle building (obviously also with correct work) for a barefoot warmblood. Not fussy feeder, normally sane, but rice seemed to blow his brain - he is currently out 24/7, work consists of alternate days hacking and schooling - only possible to feed twice a day, so looking for something where I do not need too much volume - in winter he has ad lib very good quality haylage ( no problems with feet last winter.he is also getting kwikbeet, pro hoof and salt
Currently have short listed to the 2 mentioned feeds, but would be interested in feedback.
Only other restriction is I am in Germany so cannot get all feeds which are available in UK

I feed ERS Pellets - have done for nearly three years now - and love them. Suitable for barefooters, so no rubbish in them, non-heating, very palatable and you don't need to give a lot (Kal is fed twice a day). I feed alongside Alfa A Molasses Free and (micronised) linseed in the summer - and add Speedibeet/Copra in the winter (with ad lib hay/haylage). The only supplements I give are pure MSM and Magnesium. The ERS Pellets have added electrolytes and I didn't give Kal anything extra in that department when he was hunting - just access to a salt lick.

Hope that helps.

I fed ERS pellets but as I upped the qty to something where they might do something they sent him a bit nuts! I feed oats for condition/extra oomph :)
