Does anyone have any recommendations for steel toe cap wellies (a steel mid sole would also be a bonus?)

I need them for work (ecologist) and have been buying the cheapo dunlop ones the last couple of years, but they usually have a hole in them by the end of the season, so I'm considering investing a bit more and hoping they last longer!

I've come across some muck boots, but are the top halves of these also waterproof? They're also men's version and I have scrawny stick legs so I'm assuming I'll just look daft!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! They need to be fully waterproof (will be messing about in ponds!) and able to withstand moderate levels of scrambling through brambles and barbed wire!

Dunlop purofort safety wellies. The thermo plus ones have kept our feet warm all winter too.

As above, i rate these wouldn't have anything else. I won my first pair from an ag show and thought they looked heavy but they are fantastic. Im quite short and wear a 5 so they add a bit of height too which can be a bonus.

My new pair i have put a work insole in to help stop my feet getting sore when i have done too much and it has really helped.

Respirex, that's what I have, have 2 pairs which I bought at a Small holders show about 8 years ago and are like new and on my smallholding they DO get a good pounding and have lasted well.
Got 3 pairs for £20 back then, no idea what they are now though
They have stainless steel toes and a mid sole plate and shin and ankle protection
They are based right near where I lived until a few years ago, Reigate in Surrey

Personally I wouldn't have any other make now, Oz

Excellent, will check out those Dunlop ones, they seem a few versions fancier than what Ive been using and look more robust. Will check out the respirex as well :) Thank you!

Another one to look at are Bekina wellies. They have a steel toe cap version which my OH has and he walks miles in them. Added bonus, they won't break the bank but last well.
