After much research, we found a bike basket large enough to support Stella's 16lb frame. It's incredibly well-made, and has three separate fastenings; she can lie down and turn around but there's no way she can bounce out nor reach her legs over the side.

She remained nonplussed throughout her maiden voyage, sniffing the air on the outbound journey and curling into a tight ball on the return leg from the dog park.

This one supports dogs up to 23lbs. It's nice and sturdy. Beastie would definitely fit!

We did 18 miles on Saturday, and Stella loved being co-pilot. At the traffic lights, she was a real hit with tourists who couldn't quite believe she was snoring while whizzing along at 20mph

How did Otto react to the Bostons? Or rather, was he hassled by them? Most tend to be quite full on in their method of greeting.

That would be funny. We saw lots of people out on their bikes with the dogs running alongside. I half-expected Stella to give them the finger as she zoomed past.

He didn't get a chance to say hello, they were quite far away from us, but Otto would have loves being hassled he is very friendly (unless he has something to get possesive over!)

You know the pull along ones you get for kids - we borrowed one for Yellow Dog a few weeks ago and he loved it

Do you have any piccies? I have seen the ones for large dogs advertised online, but never in the flesh.

I bet that was hard work, eh? Stella only weighs 16lbs, but hubs said pedalling was significantly harder with our bootylicious girl on board.
