I'm so glad she's okay, what a worrying time for you.
And reading this has made me decide to bring Leah's crate out of retirement for car journeys - there's no way I'm losing my girl for want of something so simple. I had no idea crates could improve safety so much.
Though she is clearly worn out and hasn't moved much from her bed, she is such a trooper. In typical Stella style, she tried to bring me her blue toy earlier for a game of tug.
So we've booked a follow-up appointment at Stella's regular vet for this Wednesday. She is holding her eye open now, though you can tell that part of the surface is grazed. The lump on her head and the one on her hip are going down, but I sense, from the slight stiffness in her walk, that she is aching all over. She is looking quite forlorn and still in her bed
Happy to say, however, that her bowel movements and eating habits are 110%, so I think she simply needs heavy doses of r&r to regain her fighting fit persona.
