Greetings all,

Life and work have been rather chaotic of late, so just a quick note to say that Stella is doing well. I can't recall if I posted these, but they are recent-ish photos from a trip to Vermont (the other dog is Crow, Stella's best bud).

Come June, we will be adding a new puppy to our brood

. His name will be Stanley, and he'll look a lot like this:

It was *freezing* that day (-12c, if I remember correctly) and she kept wimpering about the ice, so on went the boots and she razzed around after that.

I am so excited for our new puppy. Roll on June!

Great Stella pictures as always and the picture with the boots on makes me want to hug my screen.

No wait let me have two guesses, deleted account or forgotten password? Was I right, was I right?

Nice to see you both back Prose and Stella.

You're absolutely right. I've actually gone through the North American Teckel Club to find my pup, as opposed to the AKC, as I figured working-bred dachshunds would be healthier. These dogs follow the German standard, so they have longer legs and narrower chests than the show ones, and breeding dogs have to be CERF tested every year.

I have grilled the breeder on IVDD and slipped discs, and I feel very reassured.
