So I spoke to Pabilto this evening. If you are unaware of the story - the lady who bought both of my old horses, hired my good friend and the best horseman I know as her polo pro, he has been looking after them ever since. Well Pablo has been working Stella for 9 months, and he has always been upbeat about her performance but today he could not say enough good things about her. He can go in the field and catch her without a halter or lead rope, she just follows him out and stands by the tie rail, she looks fabulous, incredibly strong, powerful - she is playing great, really soft, responsive and enjoying it. He put one of the club students on her the other week, and she was did not put a foot wrong. The student was very upset when she asked if Stella could be her regular lesson horse and he said no . She recieved her first offer, at 3 times the price I sold her for which was turned down immediately.

It is great that she has done so well, has skills that will ensure her a good future, but sad in another way as I will never own her again - couldn't afford to buy her even if I wanted to.

When I met Stella she was grumpy, skinny and needed surgery but I saw something in her - it is nice to know I was right!!!

Oh he did promise I can ride her when I next come to Denver!! WAHOO!!

And if you are wondering about Clarita - she is doing fine in her new role eating hay in the field.

Thanks for the update GTs (and a happy and successful New Year to you!

I am always glad to hear news of your girls, and it's great to know that Stella is doing so wonderfully well and is a credit to you. Clarita has fallen on her feet, too, for different reasons. I hope that eventually she can be useful again.

Aww bless - she sounds like she is one in a million! And Im really pleased that Clarita is enjoying her new occupation.
