I think it depends on if you are having a group lesson. If a group lesson and your horse is average then you dont get as much out of it compared to if your horse is very good or having problems. But what he says makes sense.

I've been to a few of his clinics but it was about 12 years ago (I think).I really enjoyed them and learnt an awful lot.

I have been taught by him many many times as juniors that would be about 10 -12 years ago! are you staying there?? They make brilliant breakfast!!! I went few times as small group (4 of us) then went with Bryony Holloway which was much more serious and it was fun!

I have had two sessions with him in a group session and ALL he said to me was "what was wrong with that? Nothing!"
so I got NOTHING out of it at all and it cost £38 or £6.30 per word. Never again. There was plenty wrong! Must have been or I'd be the most famous sj/eventer in the known universe!

I have always found him very helpful, constructive and pleasant. In fact I could do with a lesson from him!.
Does anyone know if he is doing any clinics in the Gloucestershire/south west area?

Excellent, been to him for a couple of clinics and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staying with him and his family was also a lovely expereience.

Came away jumping tracks size wise I hadnt jumped in a long time, with huge amounts of confidence to go with it
