Stereotypicals and Horse Racists.....

I did laugh when someone said.... Oh isn't your highland cute.... But far too quiet for me to ride...

Ok fine but the expert then got on a naughty pony to show off and it went up over backwards .... She thought if she tipped it up it might cure it...... Broken pelvis.... Oops

Plus they broke the mould when they made Freddie, very busy highland!

Iv got so used to my forward, super sensitive games pony after 19yrs that i almost died of exhaustion when i schooled a friends cob a few yrs ago.

Sorry, hit wrong button on iphone. What i meant to say was, riding that cob made me realise how hard riding really is when you're not on a push button pony and i appreciate cob owners all the more now!

Also fwiw, i have two cobs now and i LOVE them :)

Staffies! I know a lot of them are owned by morons, and a lot of them do have great temperaments... But having seen a friend put in hospital for two weeks after her two inexplicably turned on her, I'm not sure any of the fighting/bull breeds are really suitable as pets. The're ok till they get nasty, then people realise just how powerful they are. And they are bloody ugly. Why not have a nice Collie or Lab or Spaniel?

Staffies are ugly?

Don't make me laugh:

(Bobby, my staffie-type mongrelly thing) :D

I'm always suspicious of staffies cos of their grin. Why are they so happy? They're clearly plotting some dastardly plan to take over the world. At least labs/spaniels/insert breed here are more subtle about their evil plans and just wag tails a lot....

I rode a horse that absolutely hated chestnuts... and bays... anything brown-ish in colour. Would launch themselves across the school teeth bared, hooves flying. Greys, blacks and coloureds. Not bothered in the slightest. Daft creature. :)

but any dog can get nasty, Jack russels, labs (there is a video of ceaser milan getting attacked by a lab), spaniels etc etc etc :eek::rolleyes:

next dog I will get will be a staffie :D we regularly look after one who was a rescue and had a rubbish start to life, but the fact he is still so trusting of human beings is amazing, he is so sweet and loves cuddles, I love him! they have such amazing characters.

Oh and collies can actually be really nasty too.

My ex boyfriends dog was a staffie and she was an angel around people/kids etc. She wasn't fab around other dogs, but judging by the scars on her neck, it was understandable, so he didn't take her where she could meet other dogs (walked her at 2am, that kinda thing)

However, my sweet old collie girl is nasty with kids and other dogs. I have tried to train it out of her, but I failed. So, if kids/dogs come over, I just move away and tell them she's not friendly. It really annoys me when people say "Oh, but isn't she a collie? Surely she's friendly?!" Nope!
